What is the Wax Museum? As one of the most looked forward to events of the year, Northview's "Wax Museum" exhibits our school's theater department in their presentation of historical and influential figures. The actors usually center their performances around a specific theme, and this year's Wax Museum is centered on mythology and urban legends. In the show, actors are meant to memorize a 1 minute long scene to showcase a concept, perspective, or an aspect about their character. Gathered together in our courtyard, they can then create their own mini-scenes and freeze into a beginning pose, resembling their chosen wax figures, until our students visit and "activate" their character with a code on the sign next to actors. Our "Wax Museum" is a long running tradition for the theater department, and its spectacular show this year only hints to the greatness that is yet to come. |
