ABOUT ME Hi guys! My name is Srilakshmi Koya, and I am a sophomore here at Northview. This is my first year as a Lit Mag staff member, and I am so excited!
I wanted to join Lit Mag this year because I've always been the person to just grab a piece of paper and write down the wildest thoughts to create something that resonates with what I am feeling without actually saying it. *Yup, I don't do too well with social interaction.* Anyways, being part of this team gives me the freedom to just be me. ...Ok, um, that sounded very teacher like. Ok, let's get back on track. This year, I really want to learn how to work with design. I have been dreaming of it for the past couple of years, but never got the chance to actually learn. I also want to become closer with all these new friends! |
THE MOST RANDOM FACTS-My favorite food is sushi, but my go to option would be Thai food.
-I love playing volleyball. -I'm the person who puts milk before their cereal, but it's ok because I'm training myself not to. |
MY WRITINGTaped on
Srilakshmi Koya 0.5 inch below the nose, And 2 inches above the chin, An upside down rainbow - there to Hide truth with a lie. It covers sadness with laughter, Fear with grins, And rage with dimples in another frame. All you have to do... Tape it on. Tape it on to hide the truth. Live behind a lie, And suffer, But with this rigid arch found in bold. |
Others won’t bother to care, Because this curved figure is there. “How are you?” is not heard, Because this rigid figure is absurd. This U-shaped thing will not last, It’s only for the ones who seek to hide, Because it’s not safe for others to see, The different person you can be. This taped lie, Is to make people look away, And pretend you are ok. This horrid image on your face, Is what they call a smile today. |
