about meHi! My name is Lindsey, and I am a senior at Northview High School. This is my second year in Lit Mag and my first year as the Graphic Design Editor-in-Chief. When I first heard about this class, I didn't even consider joining because my family and friends had convinced me that I should complete 4 years of orchestra so "it would look good to colleges." I ultimately went with my gut feeling. which told me that Lit Mag could help me unlock my creative potential. I can 100% say that after a year (on Teams), I have no regrets changing my electives ;). This year, I'm hoping to develop my web design and Adobe Photoshop skills to become more efficient and see what I can do to help Lit Mag thrive and continue its strong legacy! |
some fun factsI have so many favorite foods and desserts, like pasta, pizza, Kbbq, but if I had to narrow it down, my absolute favorite food is sushi because I could probably eat it every day and never get tired of it. One fun fact about me is that I have lived in Georgia my whole life, so I don't meet new people often and most of the people I do know have been stuck with me my whole life. Another fact is that I used to be ambidextrous (being able to write with both hands). However, I stopped because I discovered that it can be extremely damaging and harmful to neural development, contrary to popular belief. I also love the show Attack on Titan. It's one of my favorites because of the art style, the many plot twists to keep me hooked, and especially the action/dark post-apocalyptic genre. (Some other favorite shows: Criminal Minds, Family Guy, Greys Anatomy, and Sherlock Holmes- the Benedict Cumberbatch one.) On the left is a gallery of some of my artwork I did this year. I had lots of free time during quarantine where I was able to develop my individual voice and style, which kind of revolves around realism/surrealism. My favorite piece so far would be the greek/renaissance statue painting just because of the concept behind it, which is the lady slowly losing part of her humanity, with a single tear dropping down her cheek. Right now, I am working on the Iron Man piece. It's still in progress, so there are lots of details missing, but I wanted to share how it looks so far. I'm honestly proud how far I've come, but I know that I couldn't have done it without Lit Mag, and especially Joy, the past EIC :) |
